We are a Spanish non-profit association working in Senegal since 2001. Registered with the National register of Associations in 2004 (number 172023), recognised by the Spanish government in July 2008 as an entity that works for the public good (Utilidad Pública), recognised and approved as legal by the Senegalese government since May 2007, Our objective is to contribute to sustainable development in areas of extreme poverty in the third world.
To achieve this aim we build, set up and maintain ecological tourism camps that both generate employment and income for the areas in which we work. Using the camps as a base for our work we have a number of development projects (schools, infrastructure, health etc) in the neighbouring villages. As a method of dissemination we organise travel expeditions and holidays in the camps.

Campamentos Solidarios uses the concept of active ecotourism (conservation and participation) to further develop its aims. Our three basic cornerstone

Campamentos Solidarios’ project in Senegal is called “Afrique Aventure”.  The project allows us to create a network of eco-camps that cover the most interesting and needy regions in the country.
